Robyn Gleeson

Although I may be new to country music

here in Australia, I’m definitely not new to “Country Music”.

In 1969, I joined the Tennessee Valley Barn Dance in Knoxville, Tennessee. I was a member of that organization for 13 years, playing every Saturday night on stage and broadcasting over the radio on station WNOX.

I was a member of the Jim Shipley combo and later formed my own band called “Southern Gold”.

We played in Knoxville and Nashville for many years.

In 2001, I came to Australia and loved it so much, I haven’t been back.

In 2013 I got back into Country Music and here we are...

I am part of a band here in South Australia known as “TRU COUNTRY”. We play all over Adelaide. In 2015, we finished 3rd in “Battle of the Bands” In Tamworth.

and i built Houses in Warrnambool for 30 years. So in my 60s the Building trade was starting to take a toll on my Body and had to look for something else to do but i didn't know anything other then building houses.

Viv & Chris Boys

Chris & Viv Boys started their careers in Viv's family's old time dance band & after many years branched out as a duo with piano, guitar & vocals. After a horrendous car smash in 1986 they stopped playing due to Chris's memory loss. 28 years later Viv encouraged Chris to enter a walk-up comp at Nanango Qld & the rest is history. The amount of friends, fans & followers attests to the demand for their style of music. They love to hook up the caravan & travel for months on end to entertain at music festivals, but Tassy is always home.
